Our office had a large, semi-open space that we used as a meeting room. It featured a mock retail area to display packaging but was bare and drab. I worked on some concepts to spruce up the space without breaking the bank, adding a sense of identity and cheerfulness to the room.
After the initial round of concepts, we honed in on the idea to do a plant wall on one side, and some bold typography and signage to showcase the space.
We didn't have the option of modifying plumbing, and the room didn't get much natural light so I had to find a way to make faux foliage look like the real thing. I sourced several styles of plants from Los Angeles's famed flower district, ordered barnwood siding, and had large gauge powder-coated metal letters and a stainless-steel-look sign fabricated for the project.
